The so called big picture.

Let’s take a minute to look at the big picture, that thing we all like to call, life. Now we’re all intelligent enough to understand that we basically all have the same genetic make up. But, ninety percent of the population in North America, are completely, ridiculously, and ruthlessly, so self absorbed that they can’t even look past their own pinky fingers. Come on people, step outside your tiny worlds. And look the fuck around. Most people couldn’t even write down 10 things they care about, or are interested in, that don’t revolve around their outfit, house, income, or prestige.  Ever get so angry at the world that you just want to scream fuck in the train station? I hear you, welcome to s o c i e t y. Full of shit heads and dimwits. We live in a self seeking world folks, so shut up and live in your small worlds people, cause its not like anyone else is doing anything different.

Moon Bounce - Telephone

Love learning about cool projects in my town from my friend’s blogs! This nerdcore is one step shy of tweekin’.

Video created by Michael Boyce, Kyle Stetz, and Kerry Gilbert.

I Guess I’m Floating

Philadelphia’s Corey Regensberg, a.k.a. Moon Bounce, is back after the excellent Darn Your Best Frock EP with a brand new track: the squeaky, spastic and sublime “Telephone”  What I loved about much of the music on Darn Your Best Frock was how intriguingly dissonant yet ultimately endearing it was. Regensberg has a way of creating truly unique songs and melodies from odd sounds and pitches, much in the way Four Tet does… indeed “Telephone” sounds almost ripped from the pages of Four Tet’s biography, but that’s hugely complimentary because his is a sound that’s pretty hard to match.

“Telephone” comes from Moon Bounce’s upcoming debut LP, arriving sometime this spring.
